What do we take at Boise County collection sites and what does it cost?
Ordinary Household Waste and Garbage
No charge for Boise County residents. This is charged as a fee paid with your property taxes. No “Out of County” trash accepted.

Stoves, Computer Monitors, Washer, Dryer, Water Heater: No Charge
Refrigerators and Freezers: $10.00
Have Frig/Freezer ready for disposal. Remove doors or lids. See
site attendant for directions on where to dispose of plastic and metal parts.
Tires
Up to 17 inch: $2.50
With Rim: $5.00
from 17 inch - 24 inch: $10.00
With Rim: $20.00
Heavy Equipment (depending on size): $25.00 - $30.00
(charge is at the discretion of the Solid Waste Facility Employee)
With Rims add: $10.00
Vehicles - Auto Bodies: $75.00
(Title must accompany all vehicles requiring title)
Anti-Freeze
Up to 5 gallons: No Charge
Paint
Up to 5 gallons: No Charge
Liquid Paint is accepted only between 15 May and 15 August. Please leave paint in original containers. This is limited to Household quantities. “Paint or other waste from a Conditionally Exempt Small Quantity Generator (CESQG) is not accepted.”
Brush and Yard Waste: No Charge

Minimum Charge: 1/4 Cubic Yard: $2.50
C&D Waste per Cubic Yard: $10.00
Stumps and Land Clearing Debris Per Cubic Yard: $1.50
Large Furniture
Hide-A-Bed: $5.00
Couch, Chair, or Mattress: $2.50

It Shall be unlawful for any person hauling garbage, refuse or rubish to do so without securing or providing a cover, bag or lid to prevent loss of garbage, refuse or rubbish. Boise County Ordinance No. 2008-02.
IF YOU ARE HAULING WASTE (except construction and demolition) FOR HIRE YOU MUST HAVE A CURRENT SOLID WASTE COLLECTION AND HAULING LICENSE. FAILURE TO OBTAIN A LICENSE MAY RESULT IN HAVING YOUR LOAD REJECTED, CONTACT THE SOLID WASTE DEPARTMENT FOR AN APPLICATION.
Boise County Solid Waste Collection Sites not only provide a place to drop-off your household trash and garbage but also provides disposal services for other items as well.
All our Collection Sites accept: Used oil, used antifreeze, lead acid batteries (car, truck, motorcycle, ATV), tires, metal, brush and yard waste, and construction and demolition waste.
C&D on site disposal at Garden Valley is available for:
Wood Unpainted or untreated wood only. (millends, pallets, shipping skids, lumber, trees, limbs, brush, stumps),
Asphalt
Masonry and Rubble (bricks, cinder blocks, concrete, mortar, porcelain, rock, stone, tile, plaster),
Soil (non-contaminated)
Metals (fixtures, pipe, flashing, gutters, sheet metal, nails, structural steel, studs, wiring)
Electrical (fixtures and wiring)
Organic Material
Other C&D Items must be placed in bins at the collection site for disposal:

“This is a general list. Specific items may not qualify. Loads co-mingled with household waste will be considered household waste. The C & D portion of the load will be charged for at the appropriate rate.”
