Boise County Court Fees

To pay a Boise County court fee click here.

The court can now take case and citation payments
online.  There is a 5% transaction fee to pay online.  Payments can
still be made over the phone for a $3.00 transaction fee or mailed in the form
of a check or money order.

No Insurance or Vehicle Registration Infractions
Drivers are required to keep proof of insurance in their vehicle at all times.

Defendants who had valid vehicle insurance coverage at the time the citation was issued can request a dismissal of the charge if proof of insurance is provided to the court within the period of time allowed for an appearance on the citation.

Providing Proof of Insurance to the Court
The Court will accept proof of insurance by having the insured’s agent fax in a copy to the Court.  Faxes from any other source will not be accepted.

The Court Assistance Office assists self-represented people in civil matters such as: divorce, custody, child support, paternity, name change, small claims, landlord and tenant and other civil matters.

The office provides court-approved forms, document reviews, legal information, referrals to legal assistance, and referrals to other services. Forms can be purchased at the Boise County Courthouse or obtained online at no cost at: http://www.courtselfhelp.idaho.gov/

The Court Assistance Officer may provide services to the opposing party/ies (other person/s involved in the same case). If you cannot afford to hire an attorney to represent you, you may be able to pay a lawyer to give you advice and review your paperwork for a lesser cost. Contact the Idaho State Bar Lawyer Referral Service (208-334-4500) for the name of an attorney in your area who will provide an initial consultation for no more than $35. Even if you do not hire a lawyer to represent you throughout the proceeding, a lawyer can look over your paperwork, give you advice on how to present your evidence, and tell you whether this type of action is right for you.
