JOB ANNOUNCEMENT:
ROAD & BRIDGE SUPERINTENDENT Boise County is seeking a full-time Road & Bridge Superintendent to join Boise County’s Leadership Team of Department Supervisors and Elected Officials. The successful applicant should have considerable knowledge of machinery, material, and methods of constructing roads, bridges, drainage systems, culverts, etc.; working knowledge of principles and techniques of supervision; safety standards related to road and bridge construction and hazards common to heavy equipment operation; and working knowledge of equipment maintenance and repair. The Superintendent is responsible for the direct supervision of the Boise County Road & Bridge Department employees. The Superintendent delegates project responsibility to subordinates when necessary, and inspects work in progress to ensure quality and completion. All forms of recruitment; employee scheduling; daily records of work performed; monitoring road conditions; and department risk management. This position falls under the direction of the Board of County Commissioners.
COMPENSATION: This is an exempt position and compensation is dependent on experience. Included in the compensation package is employer-paid health insurance premiums (medical/dental/vision), as well as participation in PERSI (Public Employee Retirement System of Idaho).

Deputy Clerk Elections & Indigent
DEPUTY CLERK – ELECTIONS DIRECTOR / INDIGENT SERVICESThe Boise County Clerk’s Office has an opening for a full-time Deputy Clerk, whose primary function will be to serve as the Elections Director, and secondary function to perform certain non-medical Social Services (Indigent), for Boise County. The position is responsible for the management and coordination of County elections, the voter registration process, and the coordination and training of election poll workers. The position communicates regularly with the Secretary of State’s Office, election equipment vendors and election workers. The elections function requires the ability to research and interpret, with legal resources, the applicable Idaho Code sections.

Wildfire Mitigation Coordinator, Boise County’s Title lll/Wildfire Mitigation department is now accepting applications for a Wildfire Mitigation Coordinator. This position advocates for community wildfire preparedness and the candidate will work independently, with minimal oversight. The position promotes, manages and directs wildfire fuel reduction and community wildfire preparedness, while reducing the risk of wildfire in the wildland urban interface, and performs related work as required.
