Administrative Assistant Job Description
Boise County Solid Waste and Noxious Weed Departments are now accepting applications for an Administrative Assistant. Job is full time 40 hours per week with benefits. Office location is Horseshoe Bend. The Administrative Assistant is responsible for providing administrative, and accounting support by performing routine and non-routine assignments for the Superintendent. Tasks may vary many times throughout an average workday, from answering phones, dispatching by two-way radio, bookkeeping, data entry, sorting, filing, inventory, computer work, assisting the Superintendent with grant and funding applications, addressing complaints and resolving problems. Receives and accounts for receipts and monies collected at solid waste sites and maintains solid waste logs. Needs to be able to work independently with minimal to no guidance. This position is not confined to an office and may require working in the field in various weather conditions. BOISE COUNTY SOLID WASTE SUPERINTENDENT
Boise County Solid Waste is now accepting applications for a Solid Waste Superintendent.
This position plans, manages, coordinates, and supervises the implementation of the Boise County Solid Waste Program, as required under Idaho Statutes, and Federal/State regulations. Provides supervision of employees assigned to the Boise County Solid Waste Program. Evaluates personnel and equipment needs and monitors budget and performs related work as required.
Applicants must be 18 years of age, possess a valid Idaho driver’s license and pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening. A preferred applicant will have considerable knowledge of Solid Waste Management; State and Federal laws and regulations along with local knowledge as required. Considerable knowledge of machinery, with working knowledge of equipment maintenance and repair. Working knowledge of principles and techniques of supervision and safety standards.
Preferred experience will be five (5) years general solid waste operations experience. Two (2) years general supervisory experience or an equivalent combination of experience. Basic working knowledge of computers and software. Experience with budgets and the preparation/implementation and monitoring thereof. General experience with heavy equipment and maintenance. Experience with reading, understanding, implementing and monitoring contracts and agreements.

Deputy Court Clerk/Jury Commissioner

The Boise County Court has an immediate opening for a full-time Jury Commissioner/Deputy Court Clerk. The primary responsibilities of this position is fulfilling the duties of Jury Commissioner (administering the juror database/pool), as well as other court clerk duties as assigned.
Qualifications include: a minimum of a high school diploma (or GED), a clean criminal record, must be a U.S. citizen and reside in Boise County. Prior experience in the court system or legal field is desired but not required.

Deputy Clerk Elections & Indigent
DEPUTY CLERK – ELECTIONS DIRECTOR / INDIGENT SERVICESThe Boise County Clerk’s Office has an opening for a full-time Deputy Clerk, whose primary function will be to serve as the Elections Director, and secondary function to perform certain non-medical Social Services (Indigent), for Boise County. The position is responsible for the management and coordination of County elections, the voter registration process, and the coordination and training of election poll workers. The position communicates regularly with the Secretary of State’s Office, election equipment vendors and election workers. The elections function requires the ability to research and interpret, with legal resources, the applicable Idaho Code sections.
QUALIFICATIONS: Strong organizational and communication skills, computer skills in the Microsoft Office Suite, and a basic knowledge of accounting/bookkeeping processes. Able to lift 40 lbs.
COMPENSATION: This full time position pays an hourly rate of $23.47 and includes employer-paid health insurance premiums (medical/dental/vision), as well as participation in PERSI (Public Employee Retirement System of Idaho).

Equipment Operator Job Description
Boise County Solid Waste is now accepting applications for a Collection site attendant at the Warm Springs (Idaho City) Transfer Station. Job is part-time, two days a week or as needed.
